Children eating lunch outside

Each day we provide a variety of primarily organic, fresh foods for lunch and snacks. We receive a box of farm fresh, seasonal produce from Full Belly Farm, as well as eat home grown vegetables that the chlidren pick, such as corn, argula, chard, fava beans, and tomatoes.

A typical menu includes: pasta with veggies and cheese, fresh beans with quesadillas and sliced avocado, garbanzo beans with veggies and cheese, lentils and rice with seasonal veggies.

We try to offer a variety of foods and old favorites that we know the children will eat. We also try to incorporate the children's favorite foods and meals, working with allergies, sensitivities, and food preferences and restrictions. Happy Baby participates in the federal food program, which oversees nutrition training and education for child care providers. Food is included in the cost of the program.
